ABOUT 

1406 Pictures Ltd is a film production company based in the U.K, founded by film director Navin Dev.

After its first venture, a psychological noir short film entitled The Falling (2006) that screened on UK cable television, the company produced the 16mm award winning short films Red Hood (2008) and The Tree Man (2009) and its first feature length film Red Kingdom Rising (2014).

Red Hood was awarded Best Foreign Short at the 2008 Washougal International Film Festival (U.S) and was screened in several international film festivals such as the BAFTA qualifying London Short Film Festival (U.K), the Festival de Cannes Short Film Corner, Branchage Jersey International Film Festival (U.K), Florence International Film Festival (Italy), Amberg Horror Fest (Germany).

The Tree Man was awarded the Best Short Film Jury Prize at the 2011 Time Out Critics' Choice Puppets on Film Festival (U.K). The Tree Man was screened at various international film festivals such as the Festival International des Arts de la Marionnette (Quebec) and the Sacramento International Film Festival (U.S).

Red Kingdom Rising has been extensively positively reviewed, with acclaimed horror critic and 'Empire' magazine columnist Kim Newman describing the film as 'a nicely dense, imagistic feel and a grasp of the nightmarish....study of a cracked psyche, using the tropes of scary children's stories....'

Zoo-Head had its World Premiere at the 19th Sci-Fi London Film Festival. It had a limited run in the U.S and Canada on Hulu.
